Tragedy for Calgary sailor

A sailor from Calgary has died off the the coast of Salt Spring Island in B.C.
The 62-year-old man has been identified as Richard Legallou. The Victoria Times reports he was on a sailboat he crafted by hand in his Calgary backyard.
The coast guard heard of a vessel adrift late Sunday morning and RCMP say Legallou was not wearing a life jacket.
He worked as an ice technician at the Glencoe Club before he retired.
