Holmes to build near Okotoks

Most of us wouldn’t want to go up against Mike Holmes.

Okotoks town council has lost a bid to stop the ‘Holmes on Homes’ star in his effort to build an ‘eco suburb’ near the town.

The Calgary Herald reports a high-density, environmentally sustainable community called Wind Walk has now been approved by the Municipal Government Board of Alberta.

Okotoks council opposed the development, arguing it was too dense and would present challenges for traffic, water and amenities.
