A Calgary man now has plenty of time to consider his actions behind the wheel after killing his passenger in a high-speed crash.
James Digwa John, 21, has been handed an 18-month jail term stemming from the August, 2007 crash.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of dangerous driving causing death.
John lost control of his 2003 Volvo along 9th Avenue near the downtown core when he was driving at nearly 2.5 times the posted speed limit.
Angel Laura-Lynn Buggins, 21, died in the crash.
