Calgarians on Enmax’s regulated rate option are getting a bit of relief on their February power-bills.
The Calgary Herald reports consumers will be charged 10 per cent less than they were during a record-setting January.
The rate will drop to 13.689 cents per kilowatt-hour, down from 15.284 cents.
However, it’s still up significantly over last February when consumers paid just over nine cents per kilowatt-hour, while the February 2010 rate was about 6.5 cents per kilowatt-hour.
