Economic recovery stumbles as oilpatch gears down

A production slowdown in the oil patch is being blamed for an economic downturn in November.
The Globe and Mail reports the national economy slipped by 0.1 per cent for the month, surprising analysts who predicted a 0.2 per cent gain.
According to Statistics Canada, oil production fell off 2.5 per cent in November, mostly due to maintenance shutdowns.
