Students rally for lower tuition fees

Students across Canada are making their voices heard Wednesday about high tuition fees.
Rallies are being held on campuses and in front of legislatures across the country.
This National Day of Action is an effort to force the Federal and Provincial governments to lower tuition fees.
When students graduate from University or College, they can be left with tens of thousands of dollars in debt.
The Canadian Federation of Students says this is unsustainable and it’s time to make education affordable for everyone.
Roxanne Dubois mentions that lower fees also help the economic recovery because every dollar invested in a post-secondary school produces two dollars in return for the government.
Dubois adds tuition fees fluctuate from province to province and she wants to see a national standard so parents can better plan for their child’s education.
