Stampede athletes defend animal treatment

Stampede athletes are firing back at Bob Barker for his remarks about how animals are treated at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
The former host of the “Price is Right” made disparaging remarks about the rodeo after the show handed out a trip to the Stampede at a recent taping.
Bull rider Scott Schiffner tells The Calgary Sun Barker has no real knowledge of how well rodeo animals are treated.
He says if Barker sat down with a rodeo stock contractor, he would realize most of the animals are treated better than many people’s children.
