Looking for a high-paying career?

Look towards the field of dentistry on a First Nations reserve.

According to Health Canada, the six highest-billing dentists last year worked on reserves, making more than $1 million each.

Once overhead, such as office costs, are subtracted, the top 25 billing dentists in the country made between $200,000 and $640,000 a year.

That compares to the national average of $142,000 for a dentist.

Health Canada says some dentists have lucrative practices on First Nations land because they have multiple clinics on different reserves along with specialized services.
