Monday marks the third anniversary of Google Earth.
An update is offering a clearer view of the earth’s subterranean landscape.
The new version removes a grid-like pattern on the sea floor off the coast of Morocco.
Some claimed this was proof of the fabled city of Atlantis.
But new, more accurate technology has removed the grid pattern and the so-called evidence of Atlantis has disappeared, much like the mythical city itself.
