Money found for rec centres

The City of Calgary has found some cash to build four recreation centres.
The City had counted on P3 money from the federal government but the mayor said the funds will now come from the Community and Recreation Levy as well as some from the City’s GST rebate.
“I am so happy that we will soon be able to build these critically-needed facilities,” said Mayor Naheed Nenshi. “I also want to thank my council colleagues and City administration for this creative solution.”
The centres, Northwest, Great Plains, Quarry Park, and Seton, will be built in the southeast and northwest.
