Flames SuperSkills at the Saddledome

Hockey fans flocked to the Dome to watch the Calgary Flames showcase their best moves at the Danone SuperSkills competion.
A Southern Alberta minor hockey team lace up alongside the Flames Sunday, as players battled for titles like: fastest skater, hardest shot and shooting accuracy.
Miriam brought her kids down to the event for the third year now and say’s it’s a great atmosphere for families.
“It’s lively, and there’s so much energy in there and we just enjoy watching them. We love hockey and we enjoy watching them play and compete against each other, ” she says.
Rick is also among the crowd in red and says it may be a family oriented event but it’s not just fun for the kids.
“It’s always good to see what the players can do on the ice and this really gives them a chance to show case all their real skills,” he says.
Proceeds from the competition benefit the Flames Foundation for Life and the NHLPA’s Goals and Dreams Fund.
