Excessive handheld device use causing injuries

Doctors say they are starting to see the first sign of problems from hours of using handheld devices, including repetitive strain injury.
Constant Blackberry users are complaining of “Blackberry thumb,” a condition caused by repeatedly using the scroller ball.
The Telegraph Newspaper reports tablet users are developing aches in the the hand they usually hold their device with, as well as pains the fingers they use to type, swipe and search the screen.
Other ergonomics experts complain that it is difficult to find a comfortable body posture while using tablets like the iPad, and that the devices should not be used for long-term typing.
