Snelgrove hammers Redford’s budgeting approach

A former Alberta Finance Minister is questioning recent decisions by the Alison Redford government.

Lloyd Snelgrove, who now sits as an independent MLA, is particularly cynical of Redford’s promise to restore $107-million in education funding.

The Calgary Herald reports Snelgrove claims the promise, made during last year’s PC leadership campaign, was made to draw teachers into her camp.

He’s also critical of last week’s $41-billion budget, asking Redford during question period this week how she plans on sustaining a 7-per cent increase in operation spending.
