Police were called to a disturbance at a nightclub in the city’s downtown early Thursday morning.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m. a group of men were asked to leave The Back Alley bar after a fight broke out.
Duty Inspector Paul Malcow tells 660News, the group left the scene in a black Volkswagen, but not before striking a bouncer with their vehicle as they left.
“As they were leaving one of the bouncers got struck by the vehicle. Now I don’t know the circumstances, if he was pushed out in front or they intentionally drove into him, I don’t know that, it will be determined during the investigation,” says Malcow.
Police located the car a short distance away and took all five men into custody.
Alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash however no charges have been laid.
The bouncer was treated on scene and was not seriously injured.
