A least a dozen people living in an apartment complex in the southeast community of Acadia can’t go home Friday night following a fire in one of the suites that caused extensive smoke damage to other units.
Batt. Chief Larry Fisher says at around 3 p.m., crews were called out to the Cedars Apartments in the 200 block of 86th Ave S.E.
He says the people living in 12 smoke and water-damaged suites should be able to return home Saturday.
Meanwhile, the suite where the kitchen fire broke out is destroyed.
No one was hurt.
