Final farewell to Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston’s life and career was celebrated at her funeral in Newark, New Jersey Saturday.
Pastor T.D Jakes offered inspiring words for the grieving congregation.
“Moments like this it it it feels, it feels like death is wrong. But the Bible says that love is stronger than death,” Jakes said.
Around 1,500 people are thought to have attended the service including stars like
Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys who paid tribute to the late singer.
Houston’s cousin Dionne Warwick served as master of ceremonies and introduced guests to speak at the church the iconic singer first sang in as child, including long time friend and mentor Clive Davis.
“I was her industry father. And I was and am so proud of her. And Bobbi Kristina, you too always, always be proud of your mother. She loved you so very much.”
A fitting end to the service, Houston’s hit song “I will always love you” played as her casket was carried out of New Hope Baptist Church.
While security was tight at the private service, the entire funeral was streamed online for public viewing.
Whitney Houston died on the Eve of the 2012 Grammy Awards at the age of 48.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
