Changes rolling in for reserved parking system

Adjustments are coming to the system used by commuters to obtain reserved spots at LRT Park and Ride lots across the city.

A new online registration system will automatically hand vacant reserved spaces to the next person in the cue that has paid the $70 monthly fee.

With the current system, users have to wait for confirmation from the city that there are available spaces.

The new system will kick in this summer.

The city is also looking at reducing the price of reserved parking at some lots where paid spots are not filling up.
