No problems with former pathologist’s autopsies: officials

Provincial health authorities say there are no issues with autopsy cases reviewed in Alberta.

Alberta Health Services reviewed 20 autopsy cases performed by a pathologist whose work is currently being critiqued by the Justice Department.

A Health and Wellness official tells The Calgary Sun the AHS review revealed no concerns with the pathologist’s work.

The Justice Department is reviewing at 13 homicide cases the doctor worked on, four of those from Calgary.

The examiner worked on 426 cases while in Calgary over 13 months before leaving the post last fall.
