A Cochrane man is facing charges after a man was struck with brass knuckles and mugged outside a bar early Sunday morning.
RCMP say the victim was waiting for a taxi when it happened around 2:40 a.m.
The suspect tried to get away in a cab, but a witness followed him and told police where to find him.
RCMP arrested the suspect at his home and he was taken into custody without incident.
Christopher Tooley, 30, of Cochrane has been charged with robbery, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of marijuana not exceeding 30 grams.
Tooley also had two outstanding warrants from Calgary for public intoxication, and failure to produce an LRT ticket.
He’ll be in court in Cochrane on Tuesday.
