RCMP confirm the boyfriend of a woman murdered this past week has been found dead.
They say he was the only suspect in the case.
RCMP Sergeant Tim Taniguchi tells 660News a man’s body was discovered in a Nanton business on Saturday and foul play is not suspected.
Police say they are not identifying either person in the case until autopsies have been completed and the families are notified.
However, neighbours and those in the community tell the Calgary Herald, the murder victim was Andrea Conroy.
They also say she had been dating local bodybuilder Rick Doucette.
RCMP have said the woman found dead is a single mother in her 30’s whose body was found early Friday afternoon when officers went to her home to check on her welfare.
They say it was clear when officers found the body that she was a victim of a homicide.
Taniguchi says they also searched a home on Saturday in the Big Springs subdivision in relation to the homicide investigation.
The victim is the mother of a young daughter who was not there at the time of the murder and is safely with other family members.
Autopsy results are expected in the next few days.
