Jersey’s stolen from Airdrie novice team

An Airdrie novice hockey team is devastated after their jerseys were stolen from their coach’s car.
It happened over the weekend.
Greg Wing, General Manager of Airdrie Minor Hockey, tells 660News the home set of Lightening jerseys are useless to anyone else and he is baffled as to why someone would steal them.
“When these jerseys are taken, it definitely affects the kids’ morale on the team. They take ownership, they take pride in their association and their team and they definitely feel like these jerseys have not been stolen from the coach, but directly from each one of them,” said Wing.
The seven and eight year olds play in the Central Alberta Hockey League.
Wing is asking people in Airdrie to check dumpsters and alleys for a garment bag, because he thinks the jerseys will be dumped somewhere.
