Search for survivors continues

The active search continues for survivors of the severe storms and tornadoes that swept through America’s heartland.
Crews are combing through shredded homes and obliterated neighborhoods in hard-hit states from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes.
Friday’s storms killed at least 38 people in five states.
At least 19 people died in Kentucky.
14 people were killed in Indiana, three in Ohio and one in each Alabama and Georgia.
In Georgia, an 83-year-old woman died after she was washed into a creek after she tried to take shelter in a drainage pipe.
Hundreds more are injured, including a toddler found alive in an Indiana field 16 kilometres from her home.
The two-year-old girl is hospitalized in critical condition.
