Snow still falling in Calgary

A snowfall warning remains in effect for Calgary, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
According to 660News Meteorologist David Spence, there is just a bit more snow expected to fall before noon Tuesday.
“Another couple of centimetres, maybe up to five centimetres in the hillier areas,” says Spence.
However Spence says heavier snowfall will continue north of the city along Highway 2 toward Red Deer, so he recommends not travelling that route.
In Calgary, Spence says the wind will gust up to 60 km/h causing visibility issues for much of the day, but particularly in the morning before the snow stops falling.
The snow won’t stick around for very long; Chinook conditions will arrive as early as Wednesday with the thermostat expected to hit four degrees Celsius, and then shoot up to 13 on Thursday.
