AMA says road conditions outside of Calgary are in much worse condition than streets inside city limits.
All bus service in the Chinook’s Edge School Division, both urban and rural have been cancelled for Wednesday.
Terry Klovechok tells 660News if you do need to head out you’ll need a little extra time.
“We’re certainly seeing an improvement in the weather. On Monday people were saying it took as much as five hours to get from Calgary to Edmonton,” says Klovechok.
“I certainly wouldn’t anticipate that now but people will have to expect to go 50, 60 or 70 kilometres and hour and if they’re not prepared to do that they should just stay home.”
He says it could take anywhere from 24 to 36 hours before crews and mother nature are able to return the roads to normal winter driving condition.
