A family dog died in a fire that gutted a northeast home Friday morning.
Batt. Chief Steve Wilson said crews are called to the 300 block of Falmere Rd. N.E. just after 10 a.m. to find a fully-involved fire coming out of the living room.
“Crews on scene did a coordinated fire attack with ventilation profile, went in and knocked the fire down,” said Wilson. “As you can see, quite a lot of damage; extensive damage.”
Investigators say no people were in the home at the time.
The Arson Unit is being called in, but the fire isn’t considered suspicious at this point.
