CPS looking for LRT shooting witnesses

Calgary police are hoping more witnesses come forward to help with their investigation into a shooting that occurred on a downtown LRT platform Friday night.

Two men had an argument on a platform in the 600 block of 7 Avenue S.W. when the 30-year-old was shot.

24-year-old David Eugene Traynor was arrested and charged with attempted murder on Saturday.  He also faces various weapons related charges.

Acting Staff Sgt. Mike Power says the men did not know each other before the shooting and it’s not clear what lead to the altercation.
