With a 4-3 triumph over the Minnesota Wild, the Calgary Flames jump into a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Flames are tied for eighth place with Los Angeles and Colorado at 76 points, but hold the tie-breaker over both those teams.
However, San Jose is just one point back of the Flames and has played two less games.
San Jose and Calgary hook-up at the Scotiabank Saddledome Tuesday night in what could be called the biggest game of the year so far for the Flames.
