Calgary Child Advocacy Centre launches

Dignitaries will help launch a new program in Calgary to assist victims of child abuse.

The Calgary Child Advocacy Centre is being dubbed as a first in Canada, and will bring child abuse experts together into one location to help victims along the road to recovery, as well as the pursuit of justice.

The launch goes Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. and will include visits from Premier Alison Redford, and former NHL player Sheldon Kennedy.

The centre is located in the Child Development Centre near the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
