Lethbridge hosting World Women’s Curling Championship

It’s going to be a very busy week in Lethbridge, as the southern Alberta city hosts the 2012 World Women’s Curling Championship.
Organizer Jodi Meli tells 660News they are expecting some big crowds, but tickets are still available.
“Opening weekend probably won’t be difficult,” says Meli. “I think everyone will be watching to see what happens with the teams. I expect closing weekend to be a bit different as the excitement grows in Lethbridge.”
Team Canada is made up of Heather Nedohin’s Alberta rink.
The red and white first take to the ice Saturday night in draw two, on sheet two, for the battle of North America.
Nedohin won bronze at the 1998 Worlds and captured gold as a junior in 1996.
