RBC Economics predicts Alberta’s economic boom will continue through 2013.
Chief Economist Craig Wright says Alberta’s economy should post growth of 3.9-per cent over the next couple of years.
“Generally for Canada, we’re still relatively bullish. However for Alberta, we’re particularity optimistic on the outlook and think that Alberta will remain one of the growth leaders both this year and next year,” says Wright.
Wright adds the strong growth will continue to create jobs, attracting more people to the province, helping both the housing and retail sectors.
More than half of the jobs that were created in Canada last year were in Alberta.
