39-year-old crashes motorcycle; in life-threatening condition

A 39-year old driver of a Harley Davidson was rushed to hospital in life threatening condition Wednesday night after a crash in the northeast.
Duty Insp. Craig Skelton tells 660News officers were called to 64 Ave. and Tarington Rd. just before 8 p.m.
“Witnesses advised police that the male was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway. The motorcycle struck a chain link fence. The rider was thrown 20 to 30 meters through the air,” he says.
There’s still no update on his condition, and 64 Ave. was closed down for a couple of hours but has since reopened.
Speed and alcohol are believed to have played a role in the crash.
