Passengers affected by Friday’s wildcat strike at Air Canada are still waiting to get on their way.
Among them is a group of Calgary students hoping to jet off to Paris.
The students from Lord Beaverbrook school are supposed to fly to Montreal and then on to Paris for a school trip that has been planned for more than a year.
The students have been stranded at the airport since early Friday morning.
Air Canada says delays and cancellations are expected to continue all day.
The workers staged an illegal walkout last night after three of their colleagues were suspended for heckling the federal labour minister as she walked through the airport.
Reports say the workers ‘slow clapped’ Lisa Raitt and sarcastically said she’s doing a “great job!”
