Banff hosting grow op conference

The elimination of grow-ops will be top-of-mind at a three-day conference in Banff this week being hosted by Calgary’s STOP Marijuana Grow Ops Coalition.

About 200 people are expected to attend to event with participants discussing the best way to stop grow ops, investigate recent trends, and delve into safety hazards associated with the practice.

One of those safety hazards is the theft of energy used to power grow ops.

According to The Calgary Sun, nearly 95 per cent of Calgary-based grow ops illegally drain power.
