Hundreds affected by power outage in Airdrie

A pole fire knocked out power to about 2,100 customers Monday afternoon on Flatt Drive, just off of Main Street in Airdrie.
Fortis Alberta’s Jennifer MacGowan tells 660News, the lights went out shortly before 2 p.m..
The power outage lasted just over three hours and forced Alberta Health Services to close its Community Care Clinic and Urgent Care department for the rest of the day but will resume normal operations Tuesday at 8 a.m..
Patients needing urgent care should call 9-1-1 while those with non-life threatening situations can contact Health Link Alberta at 1-866-408-5465 for a list of other available clinics.
