Snowfall warning in Southern Alberta

Welcome to spring in Calgary; a snowfall warning is in effect for the city and surrounding area.

“A low pressure system moving across northern Montana is going to spread snow into southern Alberta today with the highest amounts expected in the Kananaskis area with 20 centimetres,” says 660News Meteorologist David Spence.

“There are also higher amounts expected in southeastern Alberta, north of Medicine Hat. In Calgary, we’re looking at about five centimetres of snow,” says Spence. “But, the potential is there for 10 centimetres which is why the warning is in effect.”
