Finance author with tips for kids and parents

A phenomenon that really began during the most recent recession has spawned a new book.
The author of “How Not to Move Back in With Your Parents: The Young Person’s Complete Guide to Financial Empowerment” says moms and dads might want to buy their own copy of the book.
“Buy the book for your kids, but read it yourselves,” he says. “There’s a fair amount that will help parents get their kids off on a good foot and sort of help them launch financially in a way that gets them up and out of the house and into their independent adult lives.”
Rob Carrick says there is nothing wrong with moving back in with your parents, as long as some ground rules are set.
Those can include financial compensation in the form of rent and other associated costs.
