Saskatchewan premier Brad Wall is still number one while Alberta’s Alison Redford is lagging behind when it comes to popular premiers.

The AngusReid poll suggests 49 per cent of people in Alberta approve of the job Redford is doing, but that’s still over 20 points back of the most popular provincial leader in the country, Wall.

Wall enjoys the support of 70 per cent of voters in Saskatchewan.

In second place is Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Kathy Dunderdale with 55 per cent.

The poll also found Danielle Smith is in the mind’s eye of voters in Alberta as she enjoys the backing of 43 per cent of Albertans.

Over six thousand Canadians took part in the online survey.
