A busy Sunday afternoon for fire crews after a large grass fire east of Calgary on Highway 1 and Boundary Road. Authorities had to shutdown the Trans-Canada in both directions for almost 30 minutes, as the blaze crept closer to the highway.
Langdon fire chief Ron Winstrom tells 660News that no one was hurt, but two structures near a home were destroyed by the fire.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
Crews were on scene putting out hot spots well into Sunday night.
