AHS issues warning about Pomeberry frozen berries

Alberta Health Services is advising consumers not to eat Pomeberry Blend frozen berries made by Western Family because the product may be linked to the Hepatitis A virus.
Anyone who has the product in their freezer bought since November 2011 is being told to throw it out.
The product contains frozen pomegranate seeds, blueberries, strawberries and cherries and is sold at Save-on-Foods and Overwaitea.
The B.C. Centre for Disease Control is investigating eight cases of Hepatitis A that have come up in the the past two months in that province.
Five out of eight of these people ate the pomeberry product.
No cases have been identified in Alberta.
