Calgary Transit welcomes transit expert

Calgary Transit is hosting an international expert to speak to residents about a new approach to planning and how local decisions can lead to transit-friendly development.

Consultant Jarrett Walker is the author of acclaimed book Human Transit and has the leading transit blog.

Transit’s Theresa Schroder tells 660News, the organization will be engaging its customers and others going forward, as they plan for the next 30 years.

The event will take place in the John Dutton Theatre at the W.R. Castell Central Library at 616 MacLeod Trail, S.E.

The lecture is free, starts at 7:00 p.m. and everyone is welcome.
