City planners propose new system

Calgary’s inner-city may continue to grow as city hall’s planning department makes redevelopment priorities.
Areas closest to existing or future transit lines will be among neighbourhoods highly favoured, using the scoring system, over costly suburban development.
According to The Calgary Herald, development around Chinook LRT Station and on 17th avenue S.E. ranked far higher than undeveloped areas on the northern and southern edges of the city.
Alderman Druh Farrell, chairwoman of the planning and urban development committee, will consider the new system tomorrow.
