Okotoks man drowns in Hawaii

An Alberta man has died while on a scuba diving tour in Hawaii.

State police say 59-year-old William Savage of Okotoks apparently drowned off the west coast of the Big island.

Savage is reported to have been overwhelmed after a large wave knocked him off some rocks into the water.

Tour members pulled him onto their boat and began CPR, but he was later pronounced dead in hospital.
