Alberta’s political party leaders are covering a lot of ground Saturday, with just over a week remaining in the provincial election campaign.
Wildrose leader Danielle Smith is the only candidate in Calgary.
Speaking at the STARS air ambulance hanger in the northeast, Smith’s focus was on healthcare.
“We also need further investigation into the allegations of bullying and intimidation of our health care professionals by bureaucrats and politicians. And also of queue jumping by political insiders,” Smith says.
Meanwhile, Premier Alison Redford is in Grande Prairie.
Redford is touring a multiplex with the Mayor, attending a BBQ held by area candidates, visiting the seniors centre and making a stop at the STARS hangar.
Elsewhere, NDP leader Brian Mason began the day with a pancake breakfast in the provincial capital.
Mason later addressed the effect of boosting bitumen upgrading in the province at a news conference in Redwater.
Liberal leader Raj Sherman is in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, meeting with supporters and seniors and making an announcement about electricity.
