Anticipation is starting to build for the centennial celebrations of the Calgary Stampede, even with the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth being two-and-a-half months away.
Organizers have announced the line-up for one of the exhibition’s time honoured traditions, Nashville North.
A-list talent scheduled to take the main stage include Hey Romeo, Aaron Pritchett, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Pam Tillis, Gord Bamford, Jason Blaine and Emerson Drive.
Shane Chisholm and Marshall Dane are just a couple of the local performers that will also share the spotlight.
Admission to Nashville North is included with park admission, but for those who don’t want to wait in line or would rather guarantee their entry, organizers are offering a “Buck the Line” option at $170.
There’s also still hope for those who want to take in the sold-out Garth Brooks show at the Saddledome.
Thousands were disappointed when the country star’s one-and-only concert sold out in less than a minute.
Tickets will be offered as part of the “once-in-a lifetime” experience package officials are giving away for the Stampede.
All the lucky winner has to do is find one of 200 hats hidden in Calgary, Toronto or Vancouver that contain a red envelope.
On May 9th, contestants will be issued wristbands and one lucky winner in each city will be awarded the prize package.
It includes round-trip airfare to Calgary, a stay at the Hotel Arts, a two-day package to the Calgary Stampede, a $250 gift card to Lammle’s and a private dining experience at Rouge Restaurant.
The winner here will be drawn at 12:30 p.m. on Stephen Avenue between 1st and 2nd Street S.W.
