The Canadian Energy Research Institute is taking an in-depth look at crude supply-and-demand at a two-day conference in Calgary.
“Achieving Superpower Status” kicks-off Monday at the Fairmont Palliser with a keynote address from Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver at 8:00 a.m.
The conference will explore how Western Canada can best deal with the glut of crude being drilled in the oilsands as there currently isn’t enough infrastructure to export it.
It’ll also examine whether shipping the black gold to the U.S. or by sea to western countries is the best answer.
