Record-breaking weather across Alberta

Alberta’s heat wave Monday led to nearly two dozen high temperature records being smashed, including one in Calgary that was broken after 102 years.
“A ridge of high pressure brought in a lot of heat into the province from the northern boundary down to the U.S. border,” says 660 Meteorologist David Spence.
At least seven locations reached 30 degrees says Spence; Calgary hit a high temperature of 25.8 degrees Celsius, which beat the previous record of 24.4.
That record dated back to 1910.
