The Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo is deemed an astounding success!
Organizers expect they’ve surpassed their goal of 45, 000 attendees, many of whom we’re decked out in costume.
Tickets sales and entry were suspended Saturday because the Fire Marshal was concerned with possible overcrowding.
There was also no sign of slowing down Sunday with tickets sold out by 11:03 a.m.
Batman fan Clarke Adams came to the BMO Centre to get his 1966 Life Magazine featuring Adam West on the cover signed by the man himself.
“I’ve had it in a folder in a Ziploc bag in the bottom of my closet ever since and now after I’ve got Adam to sign it, it’s going to be framed and mounted and all that good stuff, and proudly displayed,” he adds.
For one pair of Star Trek fans, the Comic Expo will be an especially memorable occasion.
Cameron White decided to ask his girlfriend Megan to marry him minutes before the historic reunion of the cast of the Star Trek: the Next Generation.
The Drumheller couple have been together for 14 years and say they’re considering a Halloween theme wedding so they can sport some Star Trek uniforms.
