The city, along with several partner agencies including Alberta Health Services, Calgary police and the fire department, continue to monitor a scrap yard fire, and anticipate it to last several more days.
They’ve been monitoring air quality, and say there’s no risk to health as a result of the blaze at 3415 Ogden Road S.E.
Still, some people may be irritated by the smoke.
The air quality will continue to be assessed as long as it’s still burning.
Parts of Ogden Road will be closed off while fire vehicles attend, so the city encourages drivers to plan their Tuesday morning commute accordingly.
