Wireless infant pyjamas

Imagine saying goodbye to sleepless nights spent worrying about your little one sleeping in the crib one room over.
Rogers announced Tuesday that it has partnered with U.S.-based biomedical engineering company Exmovere Holdings Inc., for the launch of digital pyjamas, called Exmobaby, later this year.
The machine-washable outfit has embedded sensors and a AAA-battery powered wireless transmitter that beams information to a computer, smartphone or tablet.
“Body functions are actually tracked, things like skin temperature, ECG and movement and they are actually relayed to health care professionals or parents to monitor the activity of the baby while it’s asleep,” said Mansell Nelson, Vice-President, Machine to Machine, Rogers Communications.
For example, if your baby’s temperature goes up during the night, an alert can be sent to your phone or computer.
Rogers will be the exclusive provider of wireless service for the product.
Exmovere says the product sends data from the pyjamas once a minute and emits minimal radiation.
