Former Edmonton youth worker charged

A former youth care worker is now facing sexual exploitation charges.

Strathcona RCMP have charged 34-year-old Nicole Doreen Myrfield of Leduc with one count of sexual exploitation of a young person.

Mounties say Myrfield is a former employee of the Edmonton and Area Child and Family Services Authority and was a youth care worker at the time of the offence.

It’s alleged Myrfield had an inappropriate relationship with a young person while in a position of trust.

She has been released from custody and will appear in a Sherwood Park Provincial Court on May 23rd.
